Anti-Doping Policy

World Federation of International Speedsoft Sport (WFISS)

1. Purpose

This Anti-Doping Policy exists to protect the integrity of Speedsoft and the health of its athletes. WFISS maintains a zero-tolerance stance toward doping in any form. This policy outlines the obligations, responsibilities, and consequences for anti-doping violations in all WFISS-sanctioned activities and competitions.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All athletes competing in WFISS-sanctioned events
  • Team staff (coaches, medical personnel, managers)
  • National federations and member organisations

  • Presence of a prohibited substance in an athlete’s sample
  • Use or attempted use of a prohibited substance or method
  • Refusing to submit to sample collection
  • Tampering with any part of the doping control process
  • Trafficking or attempted trafficking of prohibited substances
  • Complicity in any doping-related act
  • Associating with support personnel who have been sanctioned
  • Administering or attempting to administer prohibited substances

4. Athlete Responsibilities

Athletes must:

  • Compete clean at all times
  • Make themselves available for doping control (in and out of competition)
  • Declare all medications and supplements taken
  • Maintain awareness of banned substances and methods
  • Apply for Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs) when required

Ignorance of a substance being banned is not an acceptable defence.

WFISS reserves the right to conduct:

  • Random in-competition testing
  • Out-of-competition testing (without notice)
  • Targeted testing based on intelligence or suspicious behavior

Testing will be carried out by WADA-compliant personnel. Procedures include:

  • Secure sample collection (urine and/or blood)
  • Chain-of-custody documentation
  • B-sample availability in case of contested findings

Refusal to comply is treated as an automatic violation.

6. Results Management

  • A sample positives trigger a Provisional Suspension
  • The athlete has the right to request a B Sample Analysis
  • All violations are processed under WFISS’s Disciplinary Framework
  • Sanctions are determined case-by-case based on WADA guidelines

7. Sanctions

Depending on the violation, the following sanctions may apply:

  • Disqualification of results
  • Suspension from all WFISS activities (minimum 2 years for first offense)
  • Lifetime bans for multiple or egregious offenses
  • Fines or forfeiture of prizes/titles
  • Suspension of teams or national federations complicit in cover-ups

8. Right to Appeal

Athletes have the right to appeal any sanction through:

  • WFISS Appeals Committee
  • Final recourse to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)

Appeals must be filed within 21 days of the official decision.

9. Education & Prevention

WFISS is committed to proactive anti-doping education:

  • Mandatory workshops for elite-level players
  • Annual updates to all national federations
  • Transparent communication of banned substances

Players are responsible for knowing the contents of anything they ingest.

10. Confidentiality & Public Disclosure

  • All doping investigations remain confidential until a final ruling
  • WFISS publishes confirmed sanctions on its official website
  • Personal data is protected under GDPR and international privacy laws

11. Policy Enforcement

National federations must adopt this policy in full. Failure to enforce anti-doping measures may result in:

  • Suspension from WFISS membership
  • Loss of hosting rights for WFISS-sanctioned events
  • Financial penalties

12. Amendments

This policy is reviewed annually and amended as required to remain compliant with WADA. All changes are binding once ratified by the WFISS Executive Board.
